Bare Root Vines

Specialising in propagating top quality, grafted grape plants for the New Zealand wine grower market.

Our Bare Root vines are grafted on virus tested rootstock

Bare root vines are dormant, field grown vines that have been planted out in the paddock, grown for a year, then lifted, graded, trimmed, and two budded before being bundled for dispatch. These are the most popular type of grapevine for new developments.

We offer many different combinations of grafted grapevines. We graft to contract, so it is important to know what variety, clone and rootstock you require before placing your order. As each vineyard site is unique, we recommend you seek local advice.

Our bare root vines come in two heights:

  • Standard bare root vines (350mm tall)
  • HI-STEM® vines (750mm tall)
