As General Manager, Ben has overall responsibility for ONL.
Key roles include technical knowledge, finance, staffing, grower liaison, and implementation of the Grafted Grapevine Standard. In addition, much time is spent addressing ways to add value to our clients.
After 34 years in the business, Ben has a very good understanding of the industry, where it has been and where it might be heading.
This experience is extremely valuable as ONL faces the prospects and challenges ahead.

As Administration Manager, Frances brings many years of experience to her role.
She is responsible for plant orders, accounts, and maintenance of quality systems, wages, and general administration.
Frances also provides a key role in the on-going development of ONL.

Marcus is the Field Nursery Manager and he works closely with the General Manager (Ben) on strategic projects, and continuously works on the future development of the nursery. He also helps with customer visits and queries.
Marcus is a wealth of knowledge and expertise because of his background with vineyard development and management He is also General Manager of the Ormond Nurseries’ vineyards, as well as the establishment of Klima cane pruning technology.
When he does manage to find a bit of free time, Marcus is often found barefoot in the backyard playing cricket with his family or on the boat in the Sounds.
As Senior Supervisor for future orders, Sam helps Frances manage client relations.
She is also responsible for marketing, advertising, mapping, and assisting with general administration.
Sam also helps advise in the on-going development of ONL when she is not busy wrangling her 4 children.
As Production Manager with 14 years of experience she is responsible for all the collection and virus testing of budwood and rootstock supplies for ONL.
Lorna co-ordinates and manages nursery staff involved in all areas of plant production, including packing and dispatch to growers.
In addition, she has advanced knowledge and passion for ampelography.

As Cool-store manager and Field Nursery Supervisor, Cyrille helps with all aspects of production and dispatch of our high quality grapevines.
As part of the management team, Cyrille assists with the development of an efficient and sustainable ONL.
Cyrille emigrated from France 16 years ago and he is what you call a ‘busy froggy.’ When not occupied outside on the forklift, tractor or running around on his own two feet, Cyrille enjoys a great lifestyle here in Marlborough with his loving wife and three children.
As Administration Assistant & Staffroom Supervisor, Lenie holds the team together.
She’s ONL’s girl Friday; doing the Payroll, 20th of the month Accounts Payable, assisting with invoicing, checking production data, maintaining customers/suppliers data base. Lenie also prepares all of the paperwork for new employees and acts as a liaison between workers and management.
As a Staffroom Supervisor, Lenie organises morning tea on a Friday, and the staffroom every weekday. Quite simply, Lenie looks after everyone at ONL.
Lenie likes gardening, attending fellowship at the Baptist Church and studying at NMIT learning new stuff and meeting new people. She also enjoys walking everyday with my Mr. “Pogi”, her husband.
As Supervisor and Nursery Worker, Wyn is a calm and steady influence on the nursery floor.
Key roles include the training and monitoring of new staff in all aspects of nursery production.
While not at work you can find Wyn in the garden, reading, walking or spending time with her grandchildren.
